October's Polish Pickup is all about Animation! I really assumed a bunch of Disney stuff, but I am seeing lots of inspiration in the Polish Pickup group. Wishlisting is already available, so go ahead and add these to your list if you don't already have them on it!
Loopy Fruits Acetone Additive
Cost and Cap: $5 for 17mL, no cap.
Scent: The Loopy Fruits fragrance is reminiscent
of sitting in front of the TV eating breakfast watching the cartoons.
Thoughts: This literally smells like the fruity round cereal mixed with a certain pebbly cereal. It's not overly sweet though because you get that cereal grain background.
Willmmaa!: 3 coats plus top coat but see my thoughts on why you should not wear top coat
Cost & Cap: $9, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: WWIILLMMAA!! is a glow-in-a dark polish representing Wilma Flintstone,
who has been around for Cynthia, the maker's, whole like. The white base
for her dress with orange glow for her hair.
Thoughts: Just as a note, this will be sold in full size but I have a mini in my photos
below. This glowed so much more without top coat and I learned that
after I did some art. I gave a preview but I will be posting later. The polish dries a little matte, so I added top coat, but then I noticed the glow was a little dull. I added another coat as an experiment and it was way brighter! So that's just my opinion.
Strawberry Shortcake Sugar Scrub
Cost and Cap: $10, no cap.
Scent: Strawberry Shortcake, Raspberry Tart
and Huckleberry Pie may sound like fantastic desserts - and they are -
but they are also characters from childhood cartoon specials and dolls. Strawberries & Cream
Sugar Scrub is a fun red and cream swirled scrub featuring a sprinkle of
biodegradable glitter on top. Notes of ripe and juicy strawberries are
the top note of this sugar scrub, with notes of fresh whipped cream
appearing in the background. The pure sweetness of sugar almost has me
seeing macerated berries atop a dessert. This delectable scrub will make
you hungry for dessert or just bring you back to all the scented dolls,
stickers and toys of your childhood.
Thoughts: This is a sweet one! I feel like it's dessert.
It is a little artificial, but I sort of feel like that is the case with
all strawberry scents. The cream helps to balance the sweetness of the
strawberry. As always, I enjoy the lighter sugar scrub of KBShimmer. It
definitely gets off the dead skin since it's a little grittier.
Moumantai: 3 coats then matte.

Inspiration & Color Description: A
cartoon I loved to watch in 2001 was Digimon Tamers. The computers and
electronics pumping out data formed a second world, a digital world.
Through a computer program and evolution, digital monsters emerged,
befriending kids and fighting other Digimon to save both worlds. Moumantai
is catch phrase used by one of the Digimon meaning, “take it easy,” and
this polish is very easy on the eyes! A deepened indigo base straddles
between navy and purple. Shifty flakes accent the deep color by
shifting between a lush lime green and bright turquoise, into cobalt
and gold.
Thoughts: Ohhhh yes, I am so digging how the flakes explode off the base of the polish. They are super shifty and super glowy against the indigo base. I can see some gorgeous stamping over this too. I love stamping over polishes like this.
Spirit World: 3 coats plus top coat. 1 coat over black.

Inspiration & Color Description: Inspired by this ethereal artwork of No Face from Miyazaki's "Spirited Away". 'Spirit World' is a violet tinted crelly filled with a blue/pink color shifting Aurora shimmer and blue shifting iridescent flakes. Delicate and mysterious on its own in several coats, or great as a topper over darker colors!
Thoughts: The USPS stole this one and it took forever to get to me and I had a bad nail break. I did not think this would get opaque but holy cow, I love it on its own. It super duper glows. You can wear it as a topper, so whatever floats your boat. This one is super shifty too and works so well with the inspiration!
Vinyl Sticker Pack
Cost & Cap: $10 for 3 stickers, cap of 85 US, 8 UK
Details and Thoughts: "We
have a set of three vinyl stickers that contain snarky/inspiring quotes
stylized all pretty. :) The smaller sticker is 2.5” with a matte holo
finish. The other two are 3” and a durable, vivid vinyl. Perfect for
helmers, laptops, water bottles, helmets, etc!" I already have the holo one on my Helmer and I am thinking of putting the cauliflower one on my laptop. I love these. I've shared them with a bottle of polish so you can see the size.
Carl: 2 coats, then matte.
Cost & Cap: $13 for 15mL, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: You wouldn’t think Carl from Aqua Teen and “pretty” in the same
sentence. Carl and tire iron? Yes. Carl and Danzig? Sure. Do you think
about Carl’s pool running laps around the back yard? Also yes. But with
this polish, we are making you think “Carl” and “pretty.” We’re bringing
the wife beater white crelly and adding blue flakies as a nod to Carl’s
super comfy sweatpants and accenting it with gold flakies and holo
glitter like the sweet chain around his neck. We left out the chest
hair. *shiver*
Thoughts: Yes please. I just love white polishes. I also love how visible the blue flakes are, yet they are not so dark that they detract. I especially love the gold. I can't wait to pull this out for nail art in the winter. I see icy winter stamping!
