St. Patrick's Day Nail Art: Gold with Rainbow Stripes

Press Sample

Hello All. Before I share my nail art, I just want to mention quickly that I hope you look at my blog as a place for pretty colors and art inspiration. There isn't a lot that we can control right now, but while we take time at home, we can control some things. I can control my nails and nail art and look at it as a calming outlet, so I hope you can too. I've been taking some time off from the blog, but I think now than ever, I want to share pretty colors. So let's get to this art.

St. Patrick's Day Nail Art: Gold with Rainbow Stripes

My thought process behind  this look was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Instead of the typical look, I went more abstract with a waterfall mani over a gold base. Waterfall manis are random lines and they are basically flawless. You can't mess up this look! I went with creme colors to go over the metallic gold so that they would pop!

I decided to go for an entire Morgan Taylor look, since I had just used Glow Like a Star for another mani and I just love that yellow. The colors are below:

  • Gold: Gilded in Gold
  • Red: Wish Upon a Starboard
  • Orange: You've Got Tan-gerine Lines
  • Yellow: Glow Like a Star
  • Green: Limonade in the Shade
  • Blue: Blue-Eyed Beauty

I love how the cremes work together. Some are more sheer and let the gold peek through and others are more opaque. It is such a ncie combo. And of course, I love the gold!

I love how these came out. I wore them much longer than I had intended to, so I didn't get to do another art I had in mind, but I have a cute mani to show you tomorrow!

  2. YES! I just posted something similar to my FB and also for tomorrow's post. I read a bunch of stuff on reddit that made me feel a little off about posting about nails but dangit--this is our escape. I love what you did with this mani.
