Good morning! Alter Ego has been around a while and I just love that she isn't afraid to choose unique colors and think outside of the box! This month's theme is cakes and Alter Ego was given the color of green. When you think of green and cake, you don't really have many options! Well I have had green tea cake, and that was Cynthia's inspiration. This looks just like real matcha powder!

Alter Ego Makers Dozen July 2019: Green Tea Cake

As a reminder, Makers Dozen will have 12 constant makers and one guest maker each month (for a total of 13, like a Bakers Dozen!). Every month a maker will be assigned a new color. Only 40 of each color will be available and that's it, so if you love a color, don't delay! The polishes will be available in each maker's shop as it is a collaboration but not a separate shop.

Green Tea Cake: 3 coats plus top coat. This is a yellow-based olive green polish loaded with shimmer and some holo. The glitters are chartreuse and bronze but the glitters are really small. Like smaller than microglitters. That means this is smooth and easier to remove. You might be used to the commercially-available green tea, but if you have ever seen true matcha powder (which is what makes green tea), this is totally spot on!

The sun shows off the sparkle of the polish. You can see the holo but it's not overwhelming. It lends a nice amount of sparkle but the gold shimmer flecks are the star.
