I really wanted to return to the Stella Chroma Basics Collection, which debuted with High Noon and New Moon (and wink wink, more to come). Black and white are just such versatile nail polish colors and I wanted to show how they work. I absolutely love the contrast of black and white with bright neon colors and I love this look! It sort of has 90s vibes, and I'm down with that!

I mentioned in my review that this black and white has a squishy quality. They are not stark black and white cremes. I'm not always looking for one coaters, which almost always stain my nails. So I like the finish on these.
I started with 3 coats of High Noon, but honestly, for this look, I only needed two. It has a marshmallow quality and I like how soft it is. It's not a "white-out on your nails" type of white.

Then with 4 pastel neons, which I'll share in a few weeks, but are from an upcoming release from KBShimmer (😉), I did a dry brush in random areas. Lastly, I took New Moon, and dry brushed that and added random small dots. Dry brush is really easy--all you do is take your polish brush, wipe off as much polish as possible into the bottle, and dry brush onto your nails!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great manicure. Using that white as a base makes it all just pop.
ReplyDeleteI don't always love neon, but the way you used them in this retro design, they don't look neon, just bright and pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pattern! It actually reminds me of a dress my mom wore in the 80s, it had this bright and fun pattern very similar to this one.
