Polish Con New Orleans, Road to Polish Con Group A,

**Before we get started, if you're new to my blog, let me explain the picture order. The first pictures are in indoor OTT lighting, the next, in direct sunlight, and then the shade. I do this so you can see polishes in as many different lightings as possible!**

Overpour: If brands have any overpour of their Road to Polish Con polishes, they may choose to sell them at the actual Polish Con event, or on their website. Once the polish sells out though, it will never be released again. This will depend on the brand.

KBShimmer

Beignet Done That: 2 coats plus top coat.

Cost & Cap: $10, no cap.

Inspiration: Inspired by the classic green, purple and gold colors of Mardi Gras.

Thoughts: A green to purple multichrome with gold flakes and micro holo flakes. This is an awesome polish! I love green, purple, and gold together, so this event is up my alley. The shift is VERY strong. You'll see it in all my photos. The gold flakes are enough to make a gorgeous effect but don't take away from the shifty base!

The Brat Prince: 3 coats, 2 for shorter nails or nails with less opaque free edge.

Cost & Cap: $12.50, no cap.

Inspiration: Lestat de Lioncourt from Interview with the Vampire.

ThoughtsA pale violet with turquoise shimmer, purple to aqua aurora pigment and tons of holo. How is Lestat pale violet? I feel like he sort of looks like a doll and that's how I'm connecting this color! LOL. This is another delicate color (maybe like his skin) and the blue shimmer is substantial against the base. The holo is very strong.

Rogue Lacquer

Spirits, Magic & Mystery: 3 thin coats, to show off the flakes. Can be two thicker, depending on painting style.

Cost & Cap: $12, no cap.

Inspiration: Inspired by voodoo.

ThoughtsA green gray creamy scattered holo with green to magenta color shifting flakes and red to green color shifting shimmer. This color is FUN-KY, and that's a good thing! I can very comfortably say I own nothing like this. The strong shimmer against the base sort of gives me swamp vibes. There's lots of sparkly and shifting and overall, it's a very cool and unique polish. Like all heavy flake polishes, I prefer thin coats so I can get more flake density on my nails.

Sassy Sauce Nail Polish

Lucky Papa Legba: 3 coats. 2 is sufficient but I did an extra thin coat for more flakes/depth.

Cost & Cap: $12, no cap.

Inspiration: Papa Legba is a loa in Haitian/ New Orleans voodoo who serves as the intermediary between loa and humanity. He facilitates communication, speech and understanding. Some popular offerings for him are coffee, rum, coconut, cigars, pipe tobacco, peanuts and pennies. So here we offer this polish inspired by his favorite things.

ThoughtsA brown jelly base with holo, duo chrome shifting flakies and a golden copper shimmer. Love the thoughtful inspiration behind this. I've studied a lot about voodoo because I teach a course on voodoo and zombies, so I totally see the inspiration. The color is a rich brown and again, I do thinner coats for more flakes. The holo is very strong! Much strong than my photos show.

Tonic Polish

Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler: 2 coats.

Cost & Cap: $13, no cap.

Inspiration: New Orleans.

Thoughts: A bright glowing purple linear holographic polish with tiny holo micro glitter sparkle. This is for sure, a glowing purple. The holo is very strong and your eyes will hurt when you see the sun photos haha. The little bits of holo glitter sparkle add a nice touch to give this polish more dimension.

Crazy Crawfish: 2 coats.

Cost & Cap: $11, no cap.

Inspiration: The color of cooked crawfish, a staple food in New Orleans.

ThoughtsA red orange holo with gold shimmer and flakies. For sure, this nails the inspiration! I love these orangey reds. The gold shimmer and flakes are very strong and make this a super pretty polish. The formula was excellent and almost a one coater.
