If you're new to this blog, you need to know how much I love to matte polishes and nail art. I just love the look of matte. So when Pam of Stella Chroma let me know that her fall collection would be all mattes, I was already swooning. My favorite season paired with my favorite finish. YES. So here I am today, so excited to share with you this fun collection.

The polishes are named for iconic items for fall. So I had to pull some out and bring out the pretties. I wish I had cinnamon sticks, but they disappeared on me. I'll show you all the mattes as their natural finish and then with top coat.

Gala: 2 coats. This is just like a gala apple, which happens to be my favorite type of apple! Apple picking is a big deal in this area, and I love to do it. This polish is an apple red loaded with glowing blue shimmer. In person, I didn't see my nails, but in photos I see a big of VNL. But I was happy with it at two coats. LOVE it.

Pumpkin Everything: 3 coats. Like other polishes in this collection, it will depend on your nail length. My nails are fairly long and super opaque but two would have sufficed. I LOVE this color and it's my favorite of the collection. This muted orange has magnificent green and gold shimmer.

You Blockhead!: 3 coats. The perfect Charlie Brown yellow! It's a golden yellow with silver shimmer and it's my next favorite. I love yellow polishes and I adore this muted fall version. I think I'm actually missing this color in my collection so I'm excited!

Flannel and Boots: 2 coats. This is a deep teal matte with white and blue flakes. Pam says she has a flannel shirt in this color and so do I. I loveee me some flannel. I did not experience any staining with this teal. I love the flakes against the base.

I do love how this glows when it's matte but the flakies pop with top coat.

Perseids: 3 coats, but this will be a 2 coater for shorter nails. This.is.STUNNING. I felt like when I get polishes with this base color and flakes, I always matte them. Something about this being naturally matte just works. This is named after the meteor shower that happens end of August. It's everything.

Cinnamon and Spice: 2 coats. What is more fall than a brown? This one is loaded with pink shimmer and it almost gives it a duochrome effect. It's beautiful. It's almost like molten chocolate on my nails.

ReplyDeleteI just got my first Stella Chroma polish in the Cast a Spell box and I'm loving it so I'm on the look out for other polishes to add to the collection. I seriously thought that Pumpkin Everything was going to be the favorite for me because I love Pumpking...everything lol, and the color is just gorgeous but OMG Perseids is just so stunning!
