KBShimmer Falloween Collection, Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Take a seat, grab some snacks, and check out the newest KBShimmer collection, which releases on October 1! The Falloween collection includes every finish so there's something for everyone! If it isn't clear, Halloween is my absolute favorite. Last year, I did my own 13 days of Halloween challenge (I'm going to try that again or something similar) and I know I'll be reaching for these again and again. Fall and Halloween. What could be better?

Absinthe Minded: 2 coats. This could easily be a one coater and I have a feeling that it will stamp. I'll definitely be testing it out. This appears grass green in normal artificial lighting, but move around and you'll see lime green, gold, and shades of blue. It's such a rich multichrome.

In the shade, you really get the sense of all of the shifting colors in this polish.

Best Witches: 2 coats plus top coat. This is one of the two Mega Flame polishes and wow, does it sparkle! It's pretty opaque too! This will be one of those awesome gradient polishes too. This purple is loaded with silver holographic polishes.

In the sunshine, your eyes will hurt from how much it sparkles! So gorgeous!

Creep It Together: 2 coats plus top coat. I have the outer nails as is, and I magnetized the center nails. The middle nail is with a bar magnet and the ring nail is with a cat eye magnet. This is probably one of the coolest magnetic polishes I've seen. It's a pinky, gold, green multichrome in a black base. The black base appears with the magnet, and then there are tons of rainbow flakes. There's so many shifts.

Outside in the shade, there's just so many colors. I love the surprise lime green and gold.

Fool Moon: 2 coats. This multichrome is a yellow to gold based polish with an extreme shift to greens and blues. I can't decide which multichrome I love more! I love that the shifts aren't secret. They are easily seen.

Hello blues and greens in the shade.

Here for the Boos: 2 coats plus top coat. Yes, yes, and more yes. I think this might be my favorite of the collection. This is another Mega Flame polish in a Halloween pumpkin orange and I'm digging it. You can do some amazing pumpkin nail art with this one!

I just love this shade of orange and the sparkle in the sun makes me happy!

Hide and Eek: 3 coats plus top coat. If you have shorter nails, you can get away with two coats. I feel like it's not a KBShimmer collection without at least one crelly! This white-based polish is loaded with Halloween matte glitters in black, purple, lime green, yellow, and orange. It's a subtle Halloween polish, or a great base for some fun stamping!

Then with matte top coat because I love these types of polishes when they are matte!

Smashed: 2 coats. This is like pumpkin spice in holo form. It leans from burnt orange to copper, depending on skin tone and lighting. It's a very strong linear holo. You can see how much the rainbow flame is apparent!

Wow, right?! Look at it in the sun. Super linear holo flame in such a unique color!

Spell Check: 2 coats plus top coat. This is a deep blue magical polish, loaded with blue, green, indigo, and shades of that kind flakes. It's a jelly polish, but I had excellent cover in two coats. Christy also suggest one coat over a black to really make the flakes pop. I should have tried that way!

And because it's loaded with flakes, I had to matte it. Love this!

Take It or Leaf It: 1 coat over black. I was totally convinced I could make this opaque. After 3 coats, I had a lot of VNL and I wasn't feeling it. If I were more patient, dabbing the color with a sponge between waiting a few minutes will help to achieve opaque-ness. I opted for one delicious coat over one coat of KBShimmer Eclipse. Metallic flakes in colors of all the leaves make this top coat a favorite.

The Snuggle is Real: 2 coats. This neutral tan creme is perfect to layer Take It or Leaf It, or any other glitter! I have been using it as a base for nail art lately!
