Polish Pickup Horror Movies goes live tomorrow, so I'm squeezing in one last polish to add to your wish list and it's a winner. I feel like black polish has grown on me over the last year or so. I used to really dislike it beyond for nail art. But when makers add flakes and shimmers, I can really get into it!

3 coats plus top coat. You could get away with two thicker coats, but when there's a polish with flakes like this, I prefer thin coats so I can get more flakes. When you do thin coats, I find that the flakes and shimmer pop. Slowly It Swings is a black based crelly polish with blue and gold shimmers, some holo glitters, and larger gold flakes. Together, it creates a beautiful night sky on my nails!
This polish was inspired by The Pit and the Pendulum, another horror movie I have to add to my list of movies to watch. Courtney of 6 Harts posted the inspiration picture in the Polish Pickup group, and I totally see the inspo! It's inspired by the dark dungeon with torches lighting the pendulum blade.

You can see the bits of gold flakes, the bits of holo glitter, the blue flakes and shimmer. It's a really nice combo of color. This is one of those night sky colors. I want to add a full moon and make it be for Halloween.

Next I have it in the sun and the shade. I just wanted to show you the sparkle from the holo glitter. It's not overwhelming. It's like a twinkle of stars in the sky.

I added matte top coat, and I do love how the blue becomes the star. It's really a beauty. As I've said before, I rarely wear a black polish, but when you add all the shimmer and flakes, I really love them. My nails are pretty long too right now, and usually I save darker colors for shorties, but I like this!
