Jessica Cosmetic Gypsy Spirit Galaxy Nails with Born Pretty Stamping Plate

Press Sample

So I love fun stamping plates and I love outer space so this was sort of a match made in heaven. I love doing galaxy manis, so I decided to take the galaxy mani and use a different palette. I swatched the Jessica Summer 2018 Gypsy Spirit collection last month, and I looked at it for a while before I said, galaxy mani time.

To start, here's how the plate arrives. It has a blue protective covering and coming in another packet from Born Pretty, so no scratches here! This plate can be purchased HERE and retails for $1.59. Born Pretty has so many fun stamping plates, and I've never had an issue with them.

The fun thing about this plate is that you can choose to do random images with the axis lines as I did, or you could stamp single images. I find the easiest way to get a single image is to stamp normally, and then using a dotting tool, you can easily "pick" off the parts you don't want to stamp. When I figured this trick out, life was changed.

I did a base with one coat of a white polish. Then I sponged on the blue, orange, and dark pink of the Jessica Cosmetics Gypsy Spirit collection. Then with the three remaining colors" the green, light pink, and light purple, I added random dots as stars.

Lastly, I did some double stamping, first stamping with black, and then with white. I like the bit of dimension with the double stamping.

  5. How do you pick them off with a dotting tool?! Do they just adhere to it? Do tell!

    1. I got a tripod finally, so I’m going to do a tutorial, but yes, as soon as you stamp, just start picking off what you don’t want to stamp with a dotting tool! It just sticks to the dotting tool! If I have a lot to remove, I just use a bigger dotting tool. It’s so easy!
