KBShimmer Holo-Day Collection, Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Happy weekend! How has your been so far? I woke up way too early today to hit up Bath and Body Works once a year candle sale. That's always a fun time haha. I got what I wanted before the massive crowds. Tomorrow, I'm going to be holiday-ifying my home because I've been so busy with life and my work schedule. Anyway, without further ado, I have the new KBShimmer Holo-Day collection today. Of course, with the word holo in the title, you know I had to get some sun shots. So sit back and be ready for some rainbow goodness.

KBShimmer Holo-Day Collection, Swatches and Review

**The first two photos of each polish is in artificial indoor lights. The next two are in direct sunlight.**

You're Brew-tiful: 2 coats. I was surprised with this one. As you can see, I have slightly longer nails right now and I truly felt this would be a three coater. It was a little sheer at first coat then completely opaque at 2. A beautiful neutral holo. This one is very linear, and I'm wearing this as I type in normal lighting, and that holo flame is very rich! I like the shade of this neutral. No lobster hands!

Jewels of the Trade: 2 coats plus top coat. This is a rich blue microglitter in the mage flame finish. It's definitely jewel-toned and reminds me of sapphires! I would watch for staining. Although I had none, I didn't wear it long and so I couldn't get an accurate rate. I just have a feeling!

Fir Sure: 2 coats. This is a sort of in between green. I can't explain it. It's not super dark like a pine tree, but it's not necessarily bright. You'll definitely want to check back here on Monday for my comparisons. Either way, it's green and I love green! This is also very linear like You're Brew-tiful.

Come On, Get App-y: 2 coats. To me, this is a basic purple holo, for all the holo lovers. It's got the great, you can count on it, KBShimmer formula. It's super linear. For the purple lovers.

Deck the Claws: 2 coats plus top coat. This is another polish in the mega-flame finish! It's jewel-toned just like so many of the polishes in this collection. It's like exactly rubies or the red on Santa's outfit. Either way, I'm in love with this. And yes, you'll definitely want to see my comparison.

Pour Decisions: 2 coats plus top coat. If you could only choose one polish, please, oh please, make it this. This is like an in-between of chocolate brown and purple. Maybe we can call it raisin? I can't figure this out haha. It's got holo flakes, red sparks, copper shimmer. It's amazing. This polish just glows all over the place. The shimmer in the sun made my mouth drop, literally.

Up to Snow Good: 3 coats plus top coat. After Pour Decisions, this is my favorite. It sort of reminds me of my collaboration polish, High-Rise to the Occasion! The blue shimmer is just like my violet shimmer and adds the most beautiful glow! Pair that with the holo glitter and holo flakes, and it's amazing. So so pretty!

Why So Sirius?: 2 coats plus top coat. This is a cool, galaxy in a bottle type polish. The main color is blue but it shifts to purple through shimmer. It's not a straight duochrome but it's definitely shifty.  The holo flakes are still some of my favorites.

This one really did have a purple shift, and I kept taking photos, but it was shy for the camera. It's not a heavy duty duo-chrome, but it's definitely there.
