Alabaster Nail Art with Born Pretty Water Decals

Press Sample

So I randomly started a tradition 2 years ago of doing anniversary nails for my parents! I did their 35th anniversary and 36th anniversary and, well, today is their 37th anniversary! Isn't that crazy?! Congrats to my parents! I looked up the traditional gift and it's alabaster! My parents really don't want stuff, so I'm sticking with a manicure and a card! (And I took them out to dinner last night!)

This is the last set that I have of these decals from Born Pretty! As I mentioned in my last post, these full nail details are way too small for my nails. So to use them, I had to cut them wider. That is fine with me, but that means I can only get 3-4 nails vs 5 nails per hand. I love love love the designs on these!

I chose the first set because alabaster is actually mostly white and creme colors, and my parents both love blue!

I used Stella Chroma Deer Abby, which is part of the new Into the Woods collection that I shared with you yesterday. I did three coats on my outer nails and 2 on my inner nails.

Like I mentioned, I cut the water decals wider to fit my nails. Then I removed the plastic, soaked in water for 30 seconds, and slid the image onto my nails. I decided to wear this look matte.

  1. These look like nice, clean way to do a smoosh or dry marble.

  4. I think I prefer it with glossy topcoat, looks like a smooth countertop! Those are some really cool decals, despite them being too small for your nails.

    1. That’s what I was thinking! It looks like the alabaster stone shiny! The size does stink. It means I can’t do all ten nails but I’m okay with accents

  5. The glossy is definitely more reminiscent of the stone!

  6. Great decals! That effect is messy to create with polish so it is nice to have an easy option.

    1. Yes it is. Even with a barrier, I get polish everywhere!
