I am doing some epic Halloween manicures soon, but I'm doing some fun, cause I feel like it Halloween manicures right now! I had in my head to do some Halloween leopard, so that's what this is!

Since orange is THE color of Halloween, I chose that as my base. In hingsight, I think this would have be more appropriate as a black base, purple and orange spots, and green outlines. Next year, right?!
I used Jessica Cosmetics Orange (from the Prime Collection) as my base. Then I added a coat of Jessica Cosmetics Platinum Wishes (this is a super oldie iridescent glitter topper). I then used Jessica Cosmetics Green and Purple for my spots, and a black creme for the details.

Of course I had to matte it because Platinum Wishes actually mimics Halloween colors and it's much easier to see it when it's matte!

I am the same way! I always think of what would've been better once the mani is actually done. This is pretty, but your other idea sounds even better!
