Essie Treat Love & Color Swatches + Feather Gradient Art

Giveaway Prize

So I apparently entered a giveaway over at Cosmetic Sanctuary and I won this set of Essie Treat Love & Color polishes! These are supposed to be neutral polishes with lots of vitamins and oils to help with brittle nails. I don't know about that since my nails aren't really brittle, but I've been wearing the art I did with them for 6 days and my nails don't feel weak! LOL.

Essie Treat Love & Color Swatches

Good Lighting: 2 coats. Let's start with the color that doesn't look nice on me! LOL. As you'll see below, it's gorgeous it art. The beige has a little too much yellow in it and pulls out all the red in my skintone haha. Lobster hands! But the polish itself is nice, and I'll be using it in the future.

On the Mauve: 2 coats. Seriously, what color is mauve. I have like 12 different fall polishes that call themselves mauve. Is it purple-y? Pink? Brown? Taupe? I DON'T GET IT. Anyway, I seem to always love it and I love it here. Perfect autumn color. I'll be back for you in the coming months! I love a good purpley brown (mauve?).

Pinked to Perfection: 3 coats. This is your classic girly ballet princess pink. I'm down for it, since it apparently is nurturing my nails.

In a Blush: 3 coats. Loveeee this one! I loved it so much, I knew it would be the base of my nail art. It's not a stark white. It has the slightest bit of blush to it and it is so pretty. It's almost okay at 2 coats, and if it were, it would be my go to white.

Here is the gradient I created. I used In a Blush as my base (see above) and did a gradient with Good Lighting and On the Mauve. My boyfriend said it reminded him of feathers! I wore this for 6 days and did have tipwear but nothing really significant. I'm not sure my nails grew any faster, but the polish stayed on well!

The TLC line retails for $10 each. I'm not sure I see a difference in my nails, but I don't think I'm exactly the candidate for it.  I did have a nail break so I was excited to see if my nails grew faster, but I don't think so. The polishes applied nicely, played well with art, and lasted 6 days before any tipwear. So win win!

  1. Sad to see that most were 3 coats, that’s a lot of commitment and time especially if you want to do art on top!

    1. Even with my nails shorter right now, I have such an opaque free edge. I did expect three coats and I paint on the thin side, so I didn't mind!

  2. Good Lighting is still a pretty colour, if with lobster hands, hahaha!

  3. I love the colors, I wish I didn't hate the formula of Essie so much.

    1. The formulas were nice on these! Depends on how you paint. I paint thinner so most were 3 but 2 thick coats would do.

    1. Neither have I! These are my first Essie's in years. In a blush was my favorite.

  5. I love your feather manicure. It's something I'd wear if I could do it. For Essie to last 6 days is pretty darn good.

  8. Sweet deal on the giveaway! I love the gradient you did with them. All of these "nail treatment" polishes have me skeptical because I've never seen improvement from polish.
