Beauty Big Bang Dried Flowers with Purple Polka Dot Nail Art

Press Sample

Happy Saturday! Today is particularly happy because it's my niece's first birthday!! I'm totally confused where time goes! To celebrate her birthday, I'm rocking these nails! Her bedroom is purple and apparently the cupcake frosting will be purple, so I followed suit! I received these dried flowers from Beauty Big Bang, and thought it would be a great addition!

Here's the dried flowers. It comes in a variety of colors but I stuck with pinks, purples, and yellows. Not all were full flowers. Some are half flowers. There's 2-3 per color.

I started with a base of OPI Rumples Wiggins. Yes, I brought out the oldies! Then I added polka dots with Salon Perfect Purple POP!

I then affixed one flower per nail. At first, I planned to do two flowers per middle nail. I think I should have stuck with that but they looked so huge, I went with one. Eh, I don't know. I like how this looks in pictures, but not sure I love it in person, LOL.

I topped my nails with two coats of top coat. Some were perfectly flat. But the middle nail, the yellow flower, just ate up top coat. I'll probably add a third coat as I wear it the next two days. The huge purple flower on my ring though? Totally flat! LOL.

These dried flowers retail for $3.99. The picture shows three of each flower, but some colors did only have 2 or 2.5. I bet these will work better on flatter nails or with gel polish. I like the effect of them a lot though. Next time, I think I'll do a rainbow flower accent nail and layer all the flowers! Don't forget to use MICH10 for 10% off!

  2. Nice to know regular tc works with dried flowers, all the tutorials I saw used acrylic.

    1. I'm sure with acrylics or gel, it may only require one coats but I'm fine with two coats!
