Mardi Gras is upon us! Fat Tuesday is just in a few days! I love New Orleans and everything about their culture. I went in 2011 and have been yearning to go back ever since. I would love to live there! Anywho, I have a simple Mardi Gras themed striped manicure featuring microglitters so let's check it out!

I started with a green base of Jessica Cosmetics Meet At the Plaza. I kind of wish I went with a base of Paint Box Polish The Knight Bus which is a purple, but oh well. The point is that I wanted a creme base for the sparkles to jump off of. 

I then used a striping brush and simply did random lines across my nails using Paint Box Polish I Want to be THE Queen (green), Gold Shall Be Their Crowns (gold), and The Purple Wedding (purple). These were all from summer's Westerosi collection and they are my favorite microglitters. 

I topped it all with one coat of top coat. Laissez bon temps rouler!

Then I matte it because I love microglitters matte. Honestly, for Mardi Gras, it's all about the full sparkle and bling so shiny is my preference!
