Jessica Cosmetics La Vie Boheme Swatches and Review

Press Sample

I want to repeat: This is my TOP fall collection this year! If you love cremes, beautiful formulas, and unique colors, you will definitely want these polishes! Not only have I done nail art HERE, HERE, and HERE with this collection, I've used the colors to do manicures on my friends and family. I have consistently reached for these colors in the past month and this is why I know I love them. So let's take a look!

Jessica Cosmetics La Vie Boheme Swatches and Review

I love Jessica Cosmetics but their web site blobs can be difficult to translate into real life colors, so trust my photos over the blobs, especially for a few of the colors. I've used one coat of top coat on all the swatches.

Free Spirit: 3 thin coats. You can certainly do two thick coats but my application preference for yellows is three thin coats since I find it levels better that way. Here is an example where the web site blob does not match up. Free Spirit is a beautiful pale mustard yellow that has a slight shimmer. It's the only color in the collection with shimmer. I know yellow gets a bad rep, but I absolutely adore this yellow.

Boho Babes: 3 thin coats. Same as Free Spirit, I prefer to use thin coats with colors like this. This a delicious creamsicle orange that doesn't seem like FALL, but it's not so pastel that it's spring. It's a great transition orange.

Haute Hippie: 1 coat (but 2 for photos). I have to SCREAM THAT THIS IS MY FAVORITE COLOR! Yes, that was necessary. This is my MOST used polish right now. Back up territory. One coat is enough for a manicure but I used two for photos. It's a beautiful muted burgundy. I love it. AND it stamps amazingly well! You need this.

Boho Chic: 2 coats. I love this shade of green. I love how muted this entire collection is. It's like a soft pea green that doesn't look muddy. This is totally wearable.

Faux Fur Blue: 2 coats. Like Boho Babes, this is a hybrid between pastel and muted for fall. I have nothing like it. It's really beautiful as a mani or pedi.

Bohemian Rhapsody: 2 coats. This deep navy blue creme is so shiny, it really doesn't need top coat unless you're in a rush to leave the house. It's a great formula for a staple color. I like that it is a true navy and doesn't lean black.

I'll repeat again how much I love this collection. It's cohesive with special pops of color that moves away from typical fall vamps. This is A+ in my book and worth every penny. Do you plan on picking it up?

  1. I really love Boho Babes, even though it isn't a true Fall color, I do think you're right - it's a great transitional shade

    1. I can't explain how much I love this collection! Vampy colors are great but so typical.
