F.U.N Lacquer Payday Holo with NYC Bergdorf Goodman Holiday Window Displays

Nothing to Disclose

Hi all! Happy New Year! I'm actually showing you the manicure I just took off and have been wearing since December 31st. Yup, this was my New Year's Eve manicure and I intended to put art over it and just couldn't. I also decided to add something special to this kick off to 2015 post. Every year, New York City is known for the beautiful window displays department stores set up for the holiday season. Bergdorf Goodman always does a spectacular job so I thought I would share the photos from this year since I went to see them the other day. Check it out!

First the polish, I grabbed this polish during Llarowe's Black Friday sale. I have a bunch of F.U.N Lacquers on my wish list but they sold out so quickly. I wanted Payday Holo the most so I focused on it and wow, it does not disappoint. In fact, I wore it for almost a week and not a day went by where random people were grabbing my hands asking me about this polish--it's that unique and eye-catching.

Payday Holo: 2-3 coats. This is a polish with real silver flakies--the description from Llarowe is clearer "These are coated in real silver, which gives them a luxurious sparkle. They are also cut finer, and make for a smoother application than silver shredded glitter. The color is between a light gold and silver, kinda like a platinum color!" It is incredibly sparkly!

The polish actually was opaque in 2 coats but I wanted extra bling so I added an extra coat. The polish is completely smooth and I used one coat of top coat. I'm really in love with this polish--the extra holo makes it so special. I need more F.U.N Lacquers.

There was a lot of bling at Bergdorf Goodman's window display; this year, they honored the Arts and each window represented a different art. I really loved the theme this year and the displays were breathtaking in person. Here are some quick shots I took with my phone. If you ever get a chance to come to NYC during the holidays, I highly suggest it!

Aren't these window displays beautiful? They also moved and the lights flashed--really beautiful. Unfortunately, I also had my first nail break of 2015, and it's bad. But in the mean time, I get to show you tons of polishes and nail art I have backlogged!
