Have you heard of The Painted Nail? Katie Cazorla, owner and creator, was once on a nail polish reality show for her salon. Now, she has moved onto bigger things, focusing solely on her newest salon and her nail polish line. I had the chance to meet her at Cosmoprof North America where she had a blogger get together (and you can see some pictures on their Facebook). She was very nice and provided us with a few of her polishes at the end of the night.

SallyAnn is a bright, classic red. The polish looked opaque at one coat, but actually showed some VNL (visible nail line). If you do not have long nails, one coat is all you need. Because of my nail length, I needed 3 coats. This red will be perfect for a super quick pedi, as I keep my toe nails very short. Because it is so bright, it dried somewhat dull and needed one coat of top coat.

Heidi is a color I rarely reach for. It looks like a bright yellow in the bottle but when you are in the shade, this is definitely neon. Yellows are finnicky, and what you see is 3-4 coats of polish. Next time, I will layer this over white. It's a great color, but it has the classic yellow formula. Look at how bright it is in the shade! Because of the neon pigment, this also dried dull and needed a coat of top coat.

The Painted Nail nail polishes are not currently available online but if you live near The Nail Bar in LA, California, I'm sure they sell them there.
