Glitter Placement and Stripes with KBShimmer Fall 2014 Collection

If you missed it, I posted swatches of three of the new KBShimmer Fall 2014 polishes HERE. I revisited these polishes on a very cloudy day and came up with some simple nail art. Glitter placement nails are really great for someone who loves the look of glitter but doesn't or can't wear full glitter nails, so check out my post below.

Glitter Placement and Stripes with KBShimmer Fall 2014 Collection

When I saw Kiss and Spell, I knew the satin glitter would be perfect for glitter placement. It's much easier to do placement with glitters that don't shine or have holo glitter in it.

First, I started with two coats of Elevation Polish Shilin Stone Forest, which is a gorgeous gray holographic polish with black microflakies. LOVE it. On my outer three nails, I did simple stripes with KBShimmer Rust No One and Hugs and Wishes. For the middle nails, I put a blob of Kiss and Spell on tin foil, and with a dotting tool, picked up the glitters that I wanted to place. It's so easy.

I love that these three KBShimmers echo each other and work perfectly for nail art. The Elevation was the perfect base as well!

The KBShimmer Fall 2014 Collectionis available now.  The creams retail for $7.50 each and the glitters and holographic will retail for $8.75. KBShimmer polishes are available at www.KBShimmer.com and international customers can find these polishes at www.HarlowandCo.org

Elevation Polish can be purchased HERE, and Shilin Stone Forest is currently available.

  3. Great look! Thanks for the tip on glitter placement. I've not really researched that before, but now that I know I will probably try it soon. Thanks, again!

    1. Susanna, if it helps, I also placed the bigger glitters down a line first, then placed smaller ones around it to fill in the spaces. Can't wait to see how yours turns out!
