Color Block Glitter Framed Nail Art Tutorial

Hey all! So a few days ago I did a guest post for Cosmetic Sanctuary which you can see HERE and it got an awesome response on her page! I thought I would throw together this (very) quick tutorial. There's not much method! It's super easy but the overall look is a stunner. Check out the rest of the post for more details.

First, you begin with a black base so the colors of the glitters really pop. I chose Wet N Wild Black creme.

Then take out some glitters. You should select denser glitters that are richer in color. I begin with using the first color closed to my cuticle and following the shape of my nail, paint a blob. It will look like nothing at first, but as it comes together, the look is more complete.

No need to wait for the glitter to dry, grab your next color! You can continue to follow the line of your nail, leaving some of the black visible on the side.

You can see I did more of a blob of orange and the periwinkle is more of a line. The point is that it is supposed to be random. Each nail will look different and not all the nails will have the same colors.

After I completed all the colors, I didn't like the space I left between the red and periwinkle/gold so I added more glitter.  This look is very easy to fix mistakes with.

I used two coats of top coat and all done!

Someone on Facebook commented this manicure looked like a garden in bloom. That gives me another idea to do a green border with colors inside. Or you can do all pinks/reds or blues/greens. Happy painting!

    1. It IS so easy but the final look looks more complicated! Thanks for letting me know. Sometimes the really simple techniques are the hardest to explain!
