Passover Nail Art: Matzah Nail Art

Press Sample

I told you this week would be holiday-themed! This week is not only the week before Easter, but Passover. Passover started on Monday night and lasts 8 full days.  If you've seen the movie The Ten Commandments, you know more about Passover than you think! During these eight days, we abstain from anything leavened and grains. So no bread, pasta, rice, beans, crackers, etc. We rely on matzah during this time...a lot of matzah.

I saw this manicure from Wacky Laki years ago. Apparently, 4 years ago. I had planned on doing it the next year...and then. Well, I finally did it!

I used a variety of colors from Zoya and Girly Bits. My base is a bit too dark against the matzah itself, but it looked good when I did it on its own. There's always next year!

Zoya Tatum was my base. Then I sponged on Girly Bits Irreplaceable.
Zoya  Desiree was my dots.
My blobs were Zoya Nyssa and Girly Bits Yes, We Can!
The ends of the matzah is Zoya Gina.

All topped with matte top coat.

Ok, now some normal posing. Now you see that the base doesn't look as dark. Funny how our eyes deceive us!

I am so happy with my end result. It's difficult to do themed manicures for certain holidays but I love this one!

  1. Ahahaha Matzah nail art is so good! I've been craving some of this. I'm thinking I should buy a box this weekend.

    1. I am drowning in boxes since I got them for free at the grocery store haha

  2. I totally thought the mani was cheetah-inspired until I read the post (though, not sure why my brain connected big cats with Passover, but I'm a potato, soooooo). These came out wonderful, and now that I see the matzah, it's a perfect match!

    1. It is kind of cheetah looking. Probably because my base was way too dark against the matzah but it's not too bad!
