Obsessed Mineral Cosmetics, Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Obsessed Minerals is a brand I met with at Cosmoprof. I was entranced by their sparkly eyeshadows. They sent me home with a few items to try. I finally got around to trying them so here we go!
Obsessed Mineral Cosmetics, Swatches and Review

Here are the three items together. The product line is consistent with its packaging, which is a pale gold throughout.

Liquistix in Believe!: $15.00. Full disclosure is that I really don't like lipglosses. They are just too tacky on the lips. This one is a typical sticky gloss feeling so it wasn't for me. The smell was kind of like a light vanilla. Although this color looks rich in the bottle, it barely showed up on my lips. Not sure it is worth the price point, as it's just like any other gloss to me.

Lipstick in Capreezy: $15.00. The Obsessed Minerals lip stick is much more up my alley than the Liquistix. But the color was pretty sheer on. I would have liked it if it had some kind of scent. It sort of tasted like chemicals to me, and I really do need something to make it taste like nothing rather than chemicals.

Eyeshadow in Jupiter: $16.00. The eyeshadows are what drew me into the brand, and I feel it is where they excel. The shimmers are really beautiful. I'm a matte eyeshadow girl but I like to mix it up and add some sparkle. Jupiter is mostly a pale lavender with a strong gold shimmer. It's really pretty. But back to the packaging, it's very plastic and I feel like it doesn't protect the shadow enough.

I am not sure the lip products are for me but the eyeshadow was really pretty. The packaging is plastic, so I wish there was more quality and weight to it, especially for the price.

  1. I am loving the colors of these. Kinda disappointed to hear that the packaging is plastic, but they look nice.

    1. The colors are nice and subtle but the packaging is such a light plastic, the price point is a little high for that

  2. I love the shade of the lipgloss, just not a fan of sticky glosses!

    1. I wish it were sturdier. Especially for the delicate eyeshadow. Otherwise, I want the price lower
