Alter Ego Scream for Ice Cremes Summer 2016 Collection

Press Sample

Happy Swatch Saturday! Today I have a gorgeous new collection to show you. I luckily swatched these before breaking my nails, but was saving them for today. I have some wear tests that I have done, but I'll show you later on (as in next week). But I have been extremely impressed by them. Cynthia of Alter Ego recently reformulated her polishes, which I showed HERE. I am LOVING the new formula and application. This is her first creme collection, so let's check it out.

Alter Ego Scream for Ice Cremes Summer 2016 Collection

Before I get into the swatches, I did not wear any top coat. This shows how shiny and self-leveling these cremes are. It's pretty amazing actually and I am SO SO impressed with these formulas!

**Also, when I say 2-3 coats, that is really about preference. I like to do thin coats, meaning it would be 3. But if you do thick coats, you would only need 2!

Vanilla Like That: 2-3 coats. This is an excellent french vanilla. It is totally wearable. I love love love this color and it applied itself, basically. The hint of yellow makes this love my skin.

Refreshing as Lemon Ice: 3 coats. I really do love yellow cremes. They are totally unappreciated. This one is vibrant but not neon. It does need 3 coats, but it levels on its own and isn't streaky at all. This is an excellent yellow.

Strawberry Shaker: 2-3 coats. A wonderful pastel pink that screams strawberry milkshake to me. Again, look at how even the formula is without top coat. Shorter nails can definitely get away with 2 coats, or you can do thick coats. Again, I prefer to paint my nails in thinner coats.

Sherbet VS Sherbert: It's All The Same To Me: 2-3 coats.  This name cracks me up because I hate when people spell Sherbet wrong, but it is totally my favorite ice cream. This also reminds me of Creamsicles. Same excellent, self-leveling formula.

Yo! Pistachio: 2-3 coats. I like this shade of green. It's a bit muted but still pastel and bright. And what's even better? No lobster hands! So it's great for paler skin.

Rare as a Midwest Blue Moon: 2-3 coats. Cynthia has an adorable story to go with this color. Being that I'm from the east coast, I don't have this ice cream, but I still love the color. Again, it levels on its own and really is gorgeous. It's another bright pastel color.

Wahoo!  Grape Today: 3 coats. This one is actually a jelly! It will definitely need three coats, but it is super squishy and fun. I haven't done a jelly sandwich in a looong time and using this polish makes me want to try! And it's totally grape!

I Like it Chocolate: 3 coats. Like Grape, this one is also a jelly and not a creme and will require three coats. It's so shiny you can always see me! What's an ice cream collection without a chocolate? And this one works great!

Stay tuned for nail art! I'm sure you can see how cohesive the theme of this collection is and that the colors definitely work well together. This is my favorite Alter Ego collection to date. The colors are inspired and the formulas are AMAZING. If you want pastel cremes, these are an excellent choice because the formulas are just so wonderful and east to use.

    1. Right, Liz?!? I made a point not to use top coat to show how well they level! Just shiny, leveled, beautiful perfection. I highly suggest you grab some!
