KB Shimmer Fall 2015 Collection: Partial Swatches and Review

Press Sample

It's September!! I can't believe it and I'm totally overwhelmed. I'm not ready for summer to end but my 90 degree classroom could use a break! Today I have four polishes from the KB Shimmer Fall/Halloweem collection. The collection includes cremes, holos, shimmers, and glitter in crelly polishes. Here are a few!

Be Scareful: 3 coats.  This is a white crelly base with orange and black glitters that includes shapes such as circles, hexagons, and triangles.  It perfectly represents Halloween. And what's a fun surprise is that the base is glow-in-the-dark to set it apart from other Halloween polishes.  I topped it with one coat of topcoat.

I couldn't get a complete DARK shot, so this is what it looks like when I charged my nails for 30 seconds and went into the darkest corner in my home haha. I've been redoing my closets and I usually go inside one for a glow shot but couldn't this time. It's really bright!

Soul Deep: 2 coats.  A rich blurple creme perfect for the fall.  In some lighting, the polish appears black. But it is definitely a purple that dries with the glossy shine. I added one coat of topcoat but it really was not necessary.

Dark & Twisty: 1 coat over Soul Deep.  I wanted to see how dark and twisty, a black jelly polish with rainbow metallic glitters, would look over soul deep. I really loved how one coat looked over the deep purple creme and prefer it over alone.  I topped it with one coat of topcoat.

Dark & Twisty: 3 coats.  I wanted to see how this polish would look on its own given its jelly nature. With three coats, it is completely opaque. The rainbow glitters shine just enough through the jelly but not so much that you can't wear this to work. Topped it all with one coat of topcoat.

Open Toad Shoes: 2-3 coats.  As you can see, my nails are quite long right now. Some nails look perfectly fine with two coats while others needed three. If you have shorter nails, two coats will fully cover.  Open Toad Shoes is an olive green crelly with  navy, burgundy and chartreuse glitter along with holographic shimmer. It's a unique polish that is unusual but totally wearable. I typed this with one coat of topcoat.

The KB Shimmer Fall/Halloween Collection will be available on September 15 on their website. Prices range from $8.75. While you're shopping the new nail polish collection, check out her rainbow nail tools.   Not only are they beautiful but they function really well. I've been using the tools for the last month and really enjoy the quality of the product. Make sure to like KB Shimmer on Facebook for the newest collection news.
