China Nail Art: Pandas, Great Wall of China, and more!

My sister is currently spending two months in China backpacking through cities and the outskirts and exploring the country. We actually went to Hong Kong and China back in 2001 for a small vacation and she fell in love. Then she studied abroad in China in college and she's actually pretty fluent! So it's not so random and she's having the time of her life (and the panda pictures she sent me this morning were SO cute!!).

Because I commemorate a lot of things (tv shows, holidays, etc.) with nail art, my sister Jae requested China nail art! She actually gave me the ideas of what she wanted. The Great Wall because she hiked it in the beginning of her trip, pandas because she is in Chengdu right now where they have a panda base (and you can actually hold a baby panda!!), a pagoda because she has been visiting lots of smaller cities and monasteries, and a dragon!

While these nails surely aren't realistic, I think I did a pretty good job of Jae's request! I used way too many colors to list but I started with a base of Zoya Sookie. My right hand was much simpler with a Zoya Sookie and Ziv gradient and then using a new glitter from Nanacoco (a brand my friend Jen gets) Take my Heart, I dabbed it over the gradient.

Everything is hand painted with nail polish, not acrylic paint. There is no stamping either (just a steady hand with the bamboo).

Jae, do you like my tribute to you? I actually had this on when I went to the Cirque Polish booth this past Saturday and Annie from Cirque and Gotham Polish really loved it! It's fun when other people ask about nail art; while I do it for myself, it's nice when others notice!

I think it's time for Halloween nail art--I actually want to do some of the challenge prompts (like sweater weather) later on. Hope you don't mind!
