NailVenturous Granite!

Although I'm not obsessed with the popular indies that are creamy white bases with rainbow glitter, I have to admit that when I saw Granite by Nailventurous Lacquers, I *needed* it. This is such a simple glitter, yet the color combo makes it so complex. Granite is in a white creamy base with black microglitter and copper hexes. It is SO beautiful and delicate. My mom hates white polish but loved this.

I added one coat of NVL Granite over one coat of Wet N Wild French White. Granite can definitely become opaque on its own, but I know I'll probably never get another bottle of this and I love it SO much!

Faraway shot. I love how Granite makes me look tan.

Then I decided to ruin a perfectly good manicure to try out Icing Black Shredded. I like Black Shredded. But I hate this combo. At least I wore Granite alone for a few days first :)

I guess Black Shredded is slightly tinted, so this just looked awful over the white base of Granite. I can't wait to wear it over neons though!

Have you liked and visited my Facebook page yet??

    1. I think Shredded will look better over bright colors. Something about this combo just didn't click.

  2. The black shredded makes it look EXACTLY like the rock though. I don't think I mind it at all =)

    1. Now that you mention that, you are right! Maybe I should have shredded all my nails instead of the accent, but I didn't want to cover up the prettiness. Looks like I'll have to wear Granite again! ;)

  4. I'm so bummed I never got "Granite", but I made a franken inspired by it, so I don't feel too bad! I love seeing mani's of the real thing, though...and it does make you look tan! :-)

    1. I do feel lucky I was able to get it. I know it's not the easiest polish to come by. I'd love to see your franken! It's awesome you even tried to franken it, because I am too scared to franken hahah.

Send me a link to your franken, if you have one! And now that I am more tan, I need to put this polish back on!
